A note from Betsy: I created this piece in 2012 at age 31 during a months-long sabbatical during which I road tripped solo across the country and ultimately began my lifelong painting journey. I spend a lot of my life glasses-off, gazing with my nearsighted eyes at the details of plants and fungi that call to me on walks through neighborhoods and hikes in the wilderness, and this desert wildflower (likely globe mallow) was one of the first I decided to commit to canvas. This piece and this series represents a time of intense self-discovery and a freedom that I did not quite understand (this is said now coming from a place of having two children and finding the amount of effort needed to carve out painting time on any given day immeasurably huge). I am ever grateful for the dedication to painting I was allowed during that time, and for the art that erupted out of me in the following years.

I absolutely loved working on Sedona by artist Betsy LeVine! It’s one of those puzzles that feels meaningful from the moment you open the box to the final piece.
Like every Bridgetown Puzzle I’ve experienced, the quality stands out right away. The pieces are thick, durable, and finished with that signature soft-touch texture that makes puzzling feel incredibly smooth and almost meditative. It’s the kind of tactile experience that turns a simple hobby into something you genuinely look forward to at the end of the day.
Sedona strikes a really nice balance in difficulty, engaging enough to keep your attention, but not overly frustrating. The colors and natural elements give you just enough guidance while still letting you slow down and enjoy the process. It felt like a peaceful, steady build rather than a challenge you have to push through.
What really elevates this puzzle, though, is the story behind the artwork. Betsy LeVine created this piece during a solo cross-country journey a time of exploration, creativity, and self-discovery that clearly comes through in the final image. Knowing that this desert wildflower was one of the first pieces she committed to canvas adds a deeper layer to the experience. You’re not just assembling a puzzle, you’re connecting with a moment in an artist’s life.
And that’s something Bridgetown consistently does so well. Their commitment to working with real artists and avoiding AI-generated art makes each puzzle feel intentional and…

What a gorgeous puzzle - I love the artwork and the quality is top notch. I gave this as a present, and Anna included an extremely thoughtful surprise by wrapping this gift. My mom loved it!

This puzzle was so hard, but such a delightful painting to look at the whole time that I didn’t mind. Best enjoyed with friends and loved ones, like all puzzles. Make it your next triumph to complete this one.
